My Thoughts on LipHop Facial Sheet Mask now in PH

It's almost Christmas day, and we just had our Christmas party for the department two days ago. What did I get from my manito? Well, I got my wish - face masks and eye masks which I'm very thrilled to try this weekend, and I'm letting you know my thoughts about them.

Here are the specific Liphop face masks that I got: Liphop Black Cheers a.) bean hydrating facial mask, b.) black acai berry soothing and relaxing facial mask, c.) black raspberry brightening facial mask and the d.) rice nourishing facial mask. I was also given a Bye Bye Dull eyes Aloe Vera Smoothing Eye mask and Bye Bye Dehydrated Eyes Avocado Perfecting eye mask.

Now, my thoughts. I'm not really a big fan of sheet masks because first, you can only use them once and second, it's not really that cheap. However, I tried using Jeju face mask before, and I fell in love with the instant effect it made on my face, so I was curious to try this one out.

Liphop is not so different with Jeju mask, but what I noticed is that it's not as wet as the latter and is not that cold when it touches your skin (which I like). It's not also sticky. When I took it off, I just left the essence on for the rest of the day, and I seriously didn't feel the need to wash my face.

Yes, this is definitely hydrating, but if you're a cheapskate like me, I'd go for Jeju mask. Watsons' sheet mask is also pricey. I highly recommend their gel masks though because I used to hoard those.

By the way, you can only purchase Liphop and Jeju masks at Rose Pharmacy. Prices range from Php 49 to Php 79.00, but they are P10.00 off at the time of this writing.

You might want to try this out for yourself, maybe just use this once a week, when your skin feels so dry and tired. For those asking if oily skin needs hydration and moisturizing, I swear you need it. I was so pimply before, and moisturizing really made a difference on my skin.

So I think, that ends it. I'll write about the eye masks soon.

Comment your experience or questions below if you have any. Teehee.

A Sweet Escape in Bakhawan Resort Daanbantayan

Some of my co-workers and I were lucky enough to spend a night in an exclusive resort in Daan Bantayan last April 2017. Bakhawan resort was owned by one of our managers in the company, and we were so excited when she invited us to come over during the weekend. Well, who wouldn't be?

Bakhawan resort is located in Daanbantayan Cebu just along the road. It's around 3 to 4 hours drive from Cebu City and can be reached through bus. The resort is fully furnished and can accommodate 20 heads or more (but you just have to pay for the excess heads).

The kitchen, billiard table, bar and 2 rooms is on the left wing of the resort. While on the right, there's the rest of the 3 rooms. It's the perfect place to chill with all the chairs, beds and hammocks in every corner.

This Bali-inspired resort can be rented overnight for Php15,000. It's actually worth every penny since you will have the whole resort by yourselves. Plus, you can already use all the amenities.

The bedrooms are cozy and full of intricate wooden pieces. I've been to different resorts and I could tell you that I've never been to a resort with all these nice things around.

Some of us chose to sleep outside, and I would've been one of them if it weren't for my fear of insects. The beds and hammocks are ideal places to sleep with the cool sea breeze in the night.

Here's another view of one of the rooms. There's the shower room on the right and the comfort room on the left. There is an extra foam under the beds too.

Unfortunately, the resort is not free for everybody to rent anytime. The owner will assess herself those who wish to book the resort and will check if the desired date is already booked.

P.S. You may leave a comment below if you're interested to book a date. I will refer you to the owner.

Lunch out at MexiMama

My company's office relocated in Mandaue Cebu last January 2017. During our first weeks there, our common struggle was to find a place where we could eat lunch.

There's KFC, Jollibee and Burger king among others just close by and most days, we had no choice but to go in any of those fast food chains. Yes, we are deprived of real food. Luckily, our friend suggested that we eat at Mexi Mama because it's payday, and it wouldn't hurt to treat ourselves with good food sometimes.

MexiMama is located at the 2nd floor of Parkmall Cebu, it's in the side near the jeepney terminal.

I highly recommend this place for gastronomic Mexican food and instagram-worthy walls. Scroll through my pictures below to convince you to check it out.

Check this restaurant out with your family and friends. And comment below your experience with Meximama. Can't wait to hear from you :D

Going Japanese at Joed's Lutong Hapon

I like Japanese food. Yes, I can't and won't deny it, but it is undeniably pricey. Now, if you want to try authentic Japanese food, here's a top to-go restaurant with prices just within your budget - Joed's Lutong Hapon.

Joed's Lutong Hapon has two branches - one in Mabolo, just across Sarossa Hotel and one in APM Centrale.  You can reach their Mabolo branch by commuting and riding a 03A jeepney. The two branches can fit approximately 40 to 50 people. It's a Japanese 'Karenderya' so it's not fancy rather welcoming.

I've been coming back to Joed's since 2014. I go there at least once a month for my Japanese food fix.
They have ramen, sushi, maki and other popular Japanese favorites. We usually pay around P300 to P350 for a bowl of ramen, a plate of sushi and maki good for two. Worth every penny.

MABOLO BRANCH

APM CENTRALE Branch (across SM Cebu)

Joed's is open until midnight everyday and has some acoustic singers play during the night. In APM Centrale branch, we usually find the owner singing (hehe). Joed's offer unlimited sushi and maki for P299 on some dates. They usually post it on their restaurant or Facebook page.
